This year’s fair was a wonderful community occasion. The fair was on four sites - Westbury-on-Trym Methodist Church, Westbury-on-Trym Village Hall, G.P Surgery Car Park and Holy Trinity Church. We had Po, the Kung Fu Panda has our guest of honour as well as local M.P. Charlotte Leslie. Po toured around the four sites, posed for many photos and joined in with a Zumba session! Many local charities and community groups had stalls and we were entertained by Holy Trinity Church Choir, Westbury-on-Trym CE Academy recorder groups and some community maypole dancing. Many teddies were parachuted down the church tower, and several people were put in the stocks and soaked with wet sponges. Delicious food was available at all sites - from barbecue burgers to home made cakes.
The community fair returns on Saturday 13th May 2017 and promises to be bigger and better than ever as we join in the 1300 year celebration of Holy Trinity Church. The fair is a fun event for all the family held at several locations in the village. Stalls are run by local community groups, individuals raising money for local, national and international charities, local schools and youth groups.
If you are interested in taking part in the fair please contact the Parish Office for more details.
