At Holy Trinity, children, young people and their families are a huge part of our church community. Alongside many family-focused services throughout the year, there are social groups for various ages, and confirmation classes too. Children and young people can also get involved by becoming a server or joining our choir or bellringers.
What we offer
Children’s Services
In addition to our weekly 10am Sunday service, we hold various services and events for children and young people throughout the year.
Toddler Group
Our friendly parent-and-toddler community group runs every Thursday during term time from 10 to 11.15am at the hall in the Methodist Church.
Bellringing
Our bellringing team welcomes new members aged 13 and over. Weekly practice is on Tuesday evenings, or Monday evenings for beginners.
Sunday Club
We regularly offer Sunday Club during our weekly 10am Sunday service, where children aged around 4–10 can learn about the Christian faith.
Girls’ and Boys’ Choir
Our Girls’ and Boys’ Choir is for children aged 7 and over. We rehearse every Tuesday evening during term time, and sing at Sunday services.
Confirmation Classes
Children and young people who are interested in being confirmed are welcome to join our confirmation classes to prepare for this special service.
Teatime Church
For young families, we hold a monthly Teatime Church service, with fun, themed craft activities; worship songs; a short story; prayers; and supper.
Servers
Our servers prepare the church for services, and participate in them. We welcome children aged 8 and over who would like to become servers.
