Supporting the faith of young people
We have opportunities at Holy Trinity for our young people to become servers, bell ringers and members of the wonderful church choir. There is also our monthly 4pm service, Worship 4 All, which is a music-based service followed by refreshments and fellowship.
Youth Weekend Away
Our annual Youth Weekend Away for ages 8 to 12 runs on a weekend during the summer. Our next weekend away will take place from Saturday 7th June to Sunday 8th June 2025.
Where is it?
We leave Westbury-on-Trym early on Saturday morning for Barton Camp, which is in the Mendip Hills AONB. The camp is a purpose-built centre with modern dormitory accommodation and fantastic facilities.
What will we be doing?
We have a busy two days of activities, and make full use of the amazing facilities at Barton. We enjoy the outdoor heated swimming pool, the sports hall and the outdoor play equipment. There is also loads of outdoor space for running around. In addition, we have use of an indoor activity room and dining room for some healthy home-cooked food.
We usually return to Westbury-on-Trym at 3pm on Sunday.
How much does it cost?
The cost in 2025 is £55 per child, which includes transport, accommodation, all activities and food. We keep costs to a minimum, and there are bursaries available to families for whom cost is a barrier to their child attending.
Note: all helpers go through the church’s safer recruiting process, including DBS checks, and are involved with youth work.

Youth-focused events
The Mix is a Christian worship event for church youth groups in Bristol that welcomes young people of any faith or none. At their events, people aged 11–18 can hear engaging speakers, play fun games, socialise with other young Christians and find out more about God.
