Parish Cycling Group

Come and join us for our next cycle ride!

When: monthly, on a Saturday
Next ride: Saturday 4th May 2024
Meet: 9.20am in the churchyard for a 9.30am start
Distance: 20–30 miles with a coffee stop about halfway round
Finish time: approx. 1.15pm
Notes: electric bikes are welcome, as are competent child cyclists with an accompanying adult

Arrangements

You are welcome to turn up on the day – no booking required. All you need is a reliable bike, a working knowledge of the Highway Code, the confidence to cycle up to 30 miles in a group and a mobile phone.

When we meet, we’ll ask for your mobile number in case you need to get in touch with us during the ride, such as if you become separated from the group. We’ll also ask for details of an emergency contact.

However, we would encourage you to join our WhatsApp group ahead of time if possible. That way, you can keep up to date with the latest details for the ride, including the planned destination, cancellation due to the weather forecast and reminders for future rides.

About Us

The Parish Cycling Group was formed after a very successful three-day trip to Worcester in 2017 to celebrate the 1300-year anniversary of Holy Trinity Church.

Geoff Carter, our group leader, has decades of experience of leading rides around Bristol and beyond. Our rides provide a great chance to see parts of Bristol that you may never have heard of, all while travelling along relatively traffic-free routes.
