Teatime Church

Our next service

Teatime Church is our monthly Sunday service for children and families. It’s a very relaxed service with crafts, toys, messy play, LEGO, singing, story time and interactive prayer, followed by supper for all the children and refreshments for the adults. All are very welcome! Please see below for more information.

September’s Teatime Church takes place on Sunday 27th September at 4pm. The service is based on the Parable of the Wise and Foolish Builders, a story from the New Testament. The children will be able to decorate rocks and make mini houses; create their own house pictures from lolly sticks; experiment with building cup houses on different surfaces; and enjoy playing with building rods and sand.

We will also be selling tickets for our Harvest Festival Service, which will take place at Northcote Scout Hall on Sunday 4th October at 12pm. Teatime Church will gather from 12pm for a short activity, and then join everyone else to celebrate the harvest festival in the main hall with a yummy hot lunch at 12.30pm. Attendance at Teatime Church is free, but if you would like to stay on for lunch, tickets are £5 for adults and £2 for children (aged 5+).

What Is Teatime Church?

Our Teatime Church service is a fun, friendly and informal gathering aimed at young families. We meet once a month from 4pm to 5.15pm at the back of Holy Trinity Church. Families are welcome to join us for as long as they wish.

There are various fun craft and play activities for children (for the first 30 minutes of the service), a dedicated baby and toddler corner, child-friendly worship songs, games, LEGO and a short presentation/story and time for a short reflection/action prayer followed by a yummy supper for the children and hot drinks and cakes for the adults. There is plenty of opportunity for children to move around and make some noise, enjoying the beautiful church surroundings while learning about God’s love for them all.

Teatime Church is a service that the whole family can enjoy together and is a wonderful place of fellowship, friendship, fun and faith. It’s a great way to meet other local families and learn a bit more about God and the church. If you’re interested in coming along, please email me, Georgie, for more details at familyworker@westbury-parish-church.org.uk or just turn up!
