This year, we will be exploring a book by Hilary Brand called Not a Tame Lion, a Lent course based on the writings of C.S. Lewis.
Lewis has much to say to us that is not comfortable in his writings, and Lent is meant to be a time when we are stirred and helped to rethink and deepen our Christian understanding, especially in more challenging areas. We will reflect on, and share in, some profound themes that will help us and even disturb us, but all for the good.
The book is available to purchase for under £6 at Amazon and Waterstones. Second-hand copies may also be available on some websites.
During the course, we will be reflecting on two films: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Shadowlands. The films will be shown in church on separate Saturday evenings before the course starts, so that we can get some insight into their themes before the course begins. We do hope that you can join us for these screenings.
