Funerals

The death of someone close is a very sad time, and there is always such a lot to do when you feel least able to cope. Whatever your needs, we are here to help at this difficult time.

Information guides

Our Death and Bereavement leaflet covers funeral planning and the different ways in which Holy Trinity Church can help you to remember your loved one.

Our Guide for the Bereaved takes you through each step of planning a funeral at Holy Trinity Church, including arranging music, flowers, recording and more.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions regarding death, funerals or bereavement.

Support from the church team

At this difficult time, there are many ways in which our team can support family and friends.

Space to Grieve

Our monthly Space to Grieve group meets at Holy Trinity Church every first Wednesday of the month from 2pm to 3.30pm. We are an informal group, offering tea and cake, and the chance to share experience of loss or simply chat with others. Please contact Gina Eastman via the Parish Office on 0117 950 8644 if you would like to know more.

Memorial Services

Every three months, we hold a Memorial Service, where we remember those loved ones who have died recently. It is a simple service of hymns, an address and prayers, with an opportunity to light a candle in memory of your loved one. Our next service is at 6.30pm on Sunday 3rd May.

Reflection

Holy Trinity Church is open every day. The Lady Chapel provides a focus for quiet prayer and reflection at any time. Some people find it helpful to write a prayer for the prayer tree or light a candle.

Flowers may also be placed here after a funeral service, or at any time of special remembrance.

Dedications

We can arrange for the Church Tower to be floodlit in memory of a loved one. Please contact the Parish Office on 0117 950 8644 or by email at office@westbury-parish-church.org.uk if you would like to know more.
