Current Vacancies

The parochial church council (PCC) is the governing body of the church. As such, it is called, alongside our vicar, Fr André, to lead in carrying out its mission. The PCC is also the means by which information is discussed and resolutions are passed.

We meet several times during the year, but our Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) will be held on Sunday 12th May at 7.30pm in church.

This meeting receives reports on changes to the electoral roll, general parish activities and financial matters. It also elects new members to the PCC. A meeting to elect Churchwardens immediately precedes the APCM. Both meetings will take place on 12th May.

So, would you like to join the PCC? Could you be our next Churchwarden? If so, read on, because we are seeking to fill the following positions. Please prayerfully consider if you could fill one of these roles.

  • PCC Members are also trustees and are responsible for making sure that the PCC’s business is conducted in a proper manner and with due care. A full role description is available here. They usually serve for a four-year term.

We have vacancies for 3 PCC members.

  • Churchwardens work closely with the Vicar, overseeing all manner of things to do with the running of the church. With the assistance of the Fabric Manager, they are responsible for church property and maintaining the fabric of the church. Churchwardens are elected each year, but usually serve for a four-year term.

We have a vacancy for 1 Churchwarden, as Gina steps down after completing her four-year term.

Further information

  • To stand to be nominated to serve on the PCC or as a Churchwarden, you must be on the electoral roll. (Please note that being on the electoral roll is different from being on ChurchSuite.)

Note: you can only join the electoral roll if you consider yourself to have been attending Holy Trinity for more than six months. An application form for enrolment on the church’s electoral roll is available here, on the church bookstall or from the Parish Office.

  • All of the above positions are voluntary roles.

  • Applicants must agree to be safely recruited through Holy Trinity’s agreed process, including enhanced DBS checks.

If you would like to discuss any of the roles outlined above, please contact Gina Eastman or Patrick Harris (our current churchwardens) or Fr André via the parish office on 0117 950 8644 or by emailing office@westbury-parish-church.org.uk.
